Following its acclaimed premiere season in 2025, The Lark embarks on a major Australian national tour in 2026.

Originally produced by Arts Centre Melbourne in association with Hey Dowling, The Lark premiered in Melbourne before touring to the Geelong Arts Centre and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre as part of its inaugural season.

Set within the fading remnants of a small inner-city pub awaiting demolition, Daniel Keene’s powerful one-woman play follows Rose Grey as she confronts a lifetime of memories, regrets, humour and resilience. As the walls of The Lark prepare to disappear, Rose must decide whether she can finally let go of the place that has defined her life.

Directed with remarkable intimacy, precision and humanity by Matt Scholten, and featuring a critically acclaimed performance by Noni Hazlehurst, The Lark has been recognised as a moving meditation on life, loss, survival and human connection.

The 2026 national tour reunites the complete creative team from the acclaimed original production.
